Meet Sarge - He is an 8 year old Lab mix and weighs 81 pounds. His owner just passed away from a lifetime illness at 50 and Sarge was a service dog for his master, and faithful til the end. He was a wonderful person and took great care of his canine companion. The family wants Sarge to go to a good home so he can enjoy the rest of his life relaxing and just being a dog; after all, he has worked for the past 6 years. Sarge was loved by the family and was a "sidekick" to his owner. If you would like to adopt Sarge please fill out an application; he will be waiting to go home with you - and what a gift he will be to you!!!

Donations for Susie's Medical Care

8/14/08 Update on Susie she had her eye removed, stitches out, e-collar off and has rediscovered her bark - she is doing much better.
Susie is our little Lhaso Apso that was used for breeding for three years and came into rescue. She had been adopted but got away from the adopter and was gone for five days. A good samaritan found her, called and the foster mom took her to the vet. She underwent a couple of surgeries for injuries and now faces another surgery to have her eye removed. Susie deserves to have the best medical attention and whatever she needs in the future. This will be costly. We are hoping that the general public will come to her aid. She is such a cute little dog and having been through such a traumatic life to begin with and now all of this happening and not understanding any of it.
Won't you please help Susie?
To donate please use the Paypal button at left. To send checks please make payable to ROSA'S Rescue and send to

Hello, my name is Nina.
Hi!! I am a pretty calico kitty. The vet said that I weighed about 16lbs, but I have been on a diet! I have been working out in my new foster home, so I can be ready for my forever home.
When I first went to my foster home, I got really scared (and I still do sometimes) but my foster mom is really nice and she is teaching me not to be scared anymore! I love spending time with her. She visits me several times a day, gives me a massage and rubs my head and neck. Ahhhhh, that feels so good! The more time I spend with people, I am realizing that they are nice to have around and I am learning how to relax and have fun. This is me relaxing on my favorite shelf!! I was almost a sleep when they got this picture!

This vet told me that I have a heart murmur. He says that I need to see a special doctor. So my foster mom has made me an appointment for the end of June. I get to go and have an ultrasound and then, they are going to put me on medication for it!! I can't wait. What you need to know, is that this heart murmur hasn't slowed me down. I still run and jump and play all the time!! I love to be up high, and you have to jump to get all the way up there!!
Please come and meet me and see if I can become your next best friend? I just want to be a part of a family and give all my love to them!!

Come join zootoo.com with ROSA'S Rescue. For each animal you add and journal about, we get money for.
Here's How it works...
If you're not a member of Zootoo.com, create an account. Find your shelter or rescue group and take ownership.
Here's How we earn money....
When our supporters come to Zootoo.com, Google will automatically display ads next to the reviews, journals, events and other useful and fun features of the site. Revenue is generated from visitors' interest in the content of those ads. The revenue Zootoo.com receives is shared with shelters and rescues - we get a check at the end of each month. The more supporters we have writing quality content, the more revenue we can earn.
We want to encourage our supporters to write reviews, post journal entries (like a daily pet diary), comment on pet news, use the events tool, or answer member questions. The more we do, the more ads get displayed ... the more money our shelter can earn!
